I AM CHANGE- A Youth Empowerment Workshop

Change takes advocacy and advocacy succeeds when it is intelligent. “I Am Change” is a leadership workshop about active citizenship for the sake of humanity.

The Desmond Tutu Center has teamed up with the Center For Interfaith Cooperation and the Peace Learning Center to offer an exciting and insightful workshop that will showcase how our young leaders are equipped with the talent, diversity and activism to bring about positive change where we live.

Indy Festival of Faiths

Sunday, Aug 30th, 2015

2:00-4:00 p.m.; Festival is from 1:00–5:00 p.m.

Where: Indiana War Memorial, 431 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN

I AM CHANGE- INTERFAITH EDITION is about fostering and empowering young leaders in our diverse community. The two-hour workshop will provide: (1) an insight into intelligent advocacy; (2) a powerful narrative on what it means to be civically engaged; (3) an interactive opportunity to meet and engage in discussion with various local young civic leaders making a difference today.

As Desmond Tutu states, “Differences are not intended to separate, to alienate. We are different precisely in order to realize our need of one another.” Some may be motivated by faith or some by something else, but the idea is that we, together, see ourselves as change agents for positive change.
